Dealer fixed my acceleration (tapping) noise

I saw many posts about a noise coming from the front of the car and thought my experience might help some people out.

Last year after I had ~1k miles on my 2005 TL Auto I began to hear a "tapping" sound as I accelerated through 1500~2500 rpm. It only occured under load, not when the car was stationary and rev'd through the same range. I called the dealer and they said to bring it in and they would have a mechanic ride with me to hear the noise. The mechanic heard the noise but did not look too excited about having to track it down. Within two hours of leaving the car they called to say they located the problem and the car would be done that afternoon.

The problem was diagnosed as a loose flange around the half shaft. This is what they replaced:

44500-SDB-A00 Half shaft assy.
44517-SDB-A00 Heat Cover
90165-SE0-000 flange bolt
90102-SF1-000 hex bolt (2X)
90165-S5B-003 Flange bolt (3x)

It doesn't look cheap but no charge and the noise has not returned (10K miles).
