Daytime driving bulbs
Hello peeps,
My 2008 tl is what I got. I changed the bulbs already and for some reaosn I cant get them locked in correctly any ideas ? The bulb has three triangular edges that snap into place.

Did you get the exact replacement number? .. Most have 2 tabs but a different configuration.
Can you get the originals back in?
During all this just remember not to touch the glass part of the bulb or the oils from your fingers will cause hot spots and premature failure. Clean them with rubbing alcohol.

Yes they are the right part number which is 9005 These bulbs have 3 tabs just like my originals. I could get the original back in but its still loose i cant see what im doing because im not taking the bumper off to do this

No, there should not be a need for decoders if they are stock replacement bulbs.. as for locking them blindly without the bumper off, i had the same ordeal recently as well, i spent maybe 2 hours trying to get the bulb seated correctly behind there but it's very difficult. The best thing to do is either keep trying, or remove the bumper and headlights and put them in when you can see what you're doing. Maybe someone else has other tips or tricks..
