Dash lights out after removing console?
So I pulled my lower console to remove my cubby compartment to wrap today. After I got it all back together, i noticed I now have 3 lights out, or they are very dim on my radio. Do you think this is just coincidence or could i have jarred a wire harness or something?
on a positive note, 3M Di-Noc is the shit!

Having the same problem. Pulled apart my console to install the short shifter. Noticed a few bulbs out around the nav. Swapped them with working ones and confirmed that the bulbs are in fact bad. How can the bulbs go out from removing some interior trim panels? I keep thinking about what I could have done wrong, but nothing comes to mind.
P.S. nice job with the Di-Noc, looks good!

Yeah it is puzzling. I recently had a couple more fail on me. How much did you pay for the bulbs? And how do you like the short shifter? I've been considering one for some time now..

Haven't purchased them yet. Contemplating doing an LED conversion. But I would have to go around the whole car and replace every single bulb then because I have OCD.
But understanding why this happened is going to bug me. Is it possible that since I didn't disconnect the negative battery terminal that one of the connectors I removed somehow surged the bulbs? Or maybe the physical force on the panels (not very much, I'm quite careful) somehow damaged the bulbs.
And the short shifter is awesome! Just make sure you get shifter cable bushings too.

Just ordered OEM bulbs. LEDs are too bright for my tastes in this application. Going to replace all of them around the NAV and even the seat heater switches.
I was thinking about this today. The NAV bulbs/buttons get connected to the NAV unit. If it was an electrical problem, then the surge or ESD would have had to go through the nav unit to affect the bulbs. I think that's highly unlikely without damaging the nav. So I'm forced to conclude that this is a result of the mechanical stresses when pulling the console apart.
