Damp Cloth to Clean Dash = Blotchy/Faded Gray Look
A warning for those who may not have encounter this issue. I had some darker and lighter (not grey) discolorations in a few places on my 05 Navi TL dashboard and I decided to use a clean white cloth that was damp with water to clean the effected areas vs. my normal routine of using a dry clean white cloth to wipe the dash.
As I dried the dampness of the small areas of the dash that had the discolorations, I notice the gray blotchy/faded issue that people have posted on the 3rd Gen TL forums. Later, I noticed that the clean white cloth that was damp had darker spots where my fingers were located on the cloth (my hands were clean). I was not rubbing the dash that hard. I was wiping the dash in one direction (up/down) and the other direction (side-to-side) with the damp cloth.
I pulled up the December 2005 Service New Bulletin and read the article on Dashboard Looks Faded or Blotchy.
Using the Acura Car Care product that the saleman gave me when I purchased the car in May 2005, I used the Vinyl/Leather protectant on the dash per the instructions on the spray can.
This procedure seems to have removed the gray look and most of the light/dark discolorations. I hope it stays that way.

Followed service bulletin on my dash
Had the issue with my '04. I got the recommended Honda cleaner from my dealer and used 303 Protectant as the follow up.
I followed the bulletin instructions for cleaning and then applied the 303 Protectant. It worked great, the dash looks like new again. Now it's just a matter of seeing how long the it will stay this way.
