I was driving through a parking lot today and noticed that when i turn my wheel left I hear a creaking noise coming from the steering wheel. Anyone had any issues like this? I'm not sure how to go about trouble shooting this issue.

I have replaced my axles/CV joints before because of the clicking sound they made and I have replaced my o-ring before because of the loud whining noise it made. This sound is not like those two.

Is it coming from the steering wheel or one of the front wheels?

I believe it is just from the steering wheel. I turned the wheel standing while standing outside of my car and I wasn't really able to hear any noise coming from the wheels.
