Crappy Fix to my Sunvisor Rattle

So i got my tl back from the dealer today, and all the rattles in the rear have been fixed, and i am very satisfied with them. However, their "fix" for the sunvisor rattle was to but some sticky foam on the underisde of the visor to keep it from rattling. It looks ugly, and I get the feeling they are just looking for a cheap way out of doing a real fix.

For someone who has had their sunvisor rattle fixed, how has it been done?

Thanks.

I made them replace mine. I never told them it needs to be fixed but to be replaced ... - now no problems with it .... only remaining rattle i have is the one in the back on the passenger side - they fixed it once now it came back again

The only rattle I had was the driver's side sun visor and it would make me crazy at certain rpm ranges. The dealer replaced it with no questions asked but had to order the part. The part came in and evidently someone else had the same problem so they just gave them my part and kept me waiting while a second one got ordered. Took about 6 weeks to finally get it replaced and suprisingly I never got a questionaire about my "service experience" on that trip to the shop.

I had both sunvisors replaced, but it took a while to get it right. My TL is an '04 so when they ordered the sun visors I got one from an '04 and one from an '05. The difference between them was the air bag warning sticker on the mirror covers, it took the dealer to get it right about four months.

Mine was rattling from the vanity mirror cover spring being too weak. When I flipped it up against the windshield, the flap would open and close rapidly over bumps. The dealer replaced it but the wait was not that long.

To fix visor vibration, go to HomeDepot and get some clear door bumpers for kitchen cabinets. They are about 1/4" diameter and have sticky stuff on the back. Stick them on the inside of the vanity mirror door and the outside to come in contact with the light. No more noises.
