Fellas, I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out: the attached noise happens cold or hot upon reversing and pressing brakes. It isn't the regular brake squeal noise I get from time to time. It begins with braking but will continue a bit even after letting off the brakes.

Background: I got my rotors and pads (akebono) replaced by a local shop and took it back to them after having a regular squeal upon reversing. Now a year later I'm getting this noise which sounds worse.

Appreciate any help!

Update: my issue was the rear pads wore out unevenly and after 40k miles. I was shocked the originals lasted nearly 2x and didn't expect them to wear that fast. Keep an eye out for them rear pads.

Check the rear caliper for sticking pins. They are known to go bad and will cause uneven/premature wear.
