Clunk at startup
I've got a 2006 Acura TL with about 1400 miles.
When the car is cold (sitting in the garage for a few days) I get this clunk when I start the car. It does not do this when the car is warmed up.
It almost appears that it is a twisting-clunk. When the engine starts, it seems to bump into something. I'm thinking it could be a defective motor mount. It just seems highly unlikely because this is such a new car.
It's not a real bad or loud clunk but it is noticable. Since I am new to these cars, could this be normal? It is cold out here in Chicago an I've only had the car since the end of November.
Any ideas?

I hear a similar noise immediately after start-up on my 07 TL-S. I believe it's the A/C compressor in my case. In Auto mode the A/C is on by default, I think. Try this and see if it works. Turn off the A/C before parking for an extended period and the next time you start-up, see if the clunk goes away. Good luck
