Chrome strip on front of hood

I'm speaking of the strip that goes across the front of the hood (where you would lift it). Between the strip and the paint at the beginning of the hood, there looks to be like a rubber or foam showing. Maybe I've never noticed but it shows in three different spots and you can rub over it and feel it. Does anyone else see this on yours before I take it to the dealer to be fixed?

It appears to be a felt strip between the pieces. Mine showed a bit, too. That trim piece is not difficult to get off yourself. Reseat the felt and put it back on.

Its not the round rubber that covers the holes to the access studs that holds it on but the rubber that is on the backside of the chrome part. I took it off to see if its something I can fix but it looks like the rubber rolled up and shows where the paint starts on the front of the hood. Acura dealership said this has happened before and they will replace it.
