I have an 2008 Acura tl that has 30k on it. There has been a chirping sound coming from my car when I accelerate. It stops when I don't accelerate. What could this be. It only makes the noise when I'm am driving. It is ok when I am idle. Chirping or whistle sound is driving me crazy. Please help

^ Sounds like a drive belt tensioner. Have someone rev the car while parked and listen and try to pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

take it to the dealership- having the same issue with mine! mine does it when stopped, or when its being revved! they have replaced alot of stuff on the car, to try and locate it. Its all been to my advantage, and all under warrenty! they replaced all belts and hoses, the transmission, and some other parts! lol... it stopped after all that was replaced, but then it kinda started back. its at the dealership now...

I would love to hear anyone's solution to this. I have had the same problem and have checked obvious culprits, belts, heatsheilds, exhaust mounts, ect. Even had mechanic troubleshoot with stethoscope...no joy. Another post on here suggested transmission mounting bolts, that's my next item to check.
