Ch ch ch ch here comes the train. Sound from wheel
 

Hello I’ve been dealing with a “ch ch ch” noise coming from the front driver side wheel. I first thought it was the breaks but when the clutch is engaged the noise stops and continues after the clutch is released. The sound goes with the speed of the vehicle. Slower the speed the less of the sound. Faster the speed faster the sound. See the link to my cloud where I tried to capture the noise

also my driver axle is bad but this isn’t a clicking noise. Could it be related?

All I hear is wind in the video...My brakes chatter but stop when I apply the brakes so I know its the pads. Usually a throw out bearing is only noticeable at idle and goes away when you engage the clutch if it continues while driving it may be an axle or possibly something in the clutch or flywheel

Yeah my bad. I should have mentioned the wind. But it’s there at the beginning of the video and you can hear it if the speaker is to your ear. Just for us on the beginning. I hope it’s the axle because I just had my clutch replaced :tomato:

I dont think so because my air levels are the same but I’ll have to check!

Do you have an aftermarket replacement wheel? Those are not designed to clear the Brembo calipers, and replacement wheels can only be OEM's, refinished or otherwise.

Stock wheels. I’m going to swap out the driver axle this week. Maybe that’ll help me narrow it down to hopefully the breaks.

Does anyone know if ow if the driver side axle part number is the 44306-SEP-A02?

Go to rockauto for the best bang for the buck (no pun intended) replacements. I did a couple of years ago and have no issues.

Thanks for the advise! I already had the oem axle purchased and was just wanting to confirm the part was right. Got the axle installed yesterday and the loud noise is gone. However, there is a slight noise still present. Hopefully the axle isn’t installed wrong but isn’t it pretty straight forward? :facepalm: maybe it just needs to be broken in. But thanks for y’all help
