Center vents not working when turning on heat?
Hi,
06 TL with 110K miles. Lately, I noticed that when I turn up the temp to get heat, I do not get any airflow through the center 2 vents. However, the side vents all work fine. I feel the interior getting warmer and hear the blower. This is not an issue when the A/C is on. When the A/C is on, all vents work properly. I took it to a dealership and they said its a "air mixture motor" failure and its going to cost $270 to replace. The motor controls the "door" to switch between heat or A/C.
1. Is it a fair price? 2. Do these fail regularly? 3. Any other symptoms I should be on the lookout?
Thanks in advance everyone!

Mine does the same thing.... I have to manually adjust the mode to have the air blow out the center vents and Also adjust the fan to max otherwise it won't blow as hard on AUTO
