Car won't move
My car has been sitting in garage for 3 weeks, just got home, starts up no problem, shifts into gear no problem, yet the car won't move. If I hit the gas it may jump a couple inches at best. Emergency brake is not engaged. Don't know what to do. Any advice.

Is your TL an automatic or manual transmission? What year and how many miles?
Push the car out of the garage to prevent carbon monoxide issues and start the car. Allow the engine and transmission to come to normal operating temperature.
Now check your transmission fluid level. Is it at the correct level?
Does any gears work? For the auto, have you tried shifting into Low or Sport Shift?

Thanks guys, but was told to use the remote to lock and unlock, and then try again. Did this and all was well.........crazy. Gonna ask my dealer what's up when they open tomorrow.

Oiltaker, Please let us know what the dealership has to say about this problem.
I cannot understand how using the remote to lock, then unlock will permit you to move the car after you put the car in gear.

put it it nuteral and push it out of the garage, with the engine running, sometimes that may work if ur tranny is stuck... like those old flathead motors....

by the gear shift, there should be a place with a little indentation, pry that up and a small slot shoud be there, insert key and it resets tranny, atleast in autos if u get stuck, i had to do that once ( got stuck in sand at the beach)

Just curious, what do you mean by "resets tranny?" How would getting stuck in sand do anything to the transmission (unless you were jamming the car into forward and reverse)?
