Car will not start

So two days ago I'm working on my car stereo and everything was running fine. I turned off the car and when I tried to start it again it would try to and then just fail. After many tries it just cranks and nothing. Prior to this I did hook up an amp and like a dork I hooked up the power to the battery first and then to the amp which gave me a spark at the amp end. Maybe I did something? I have no clue. The fuel pump does not engage at all, just silent. I checked the ignition, starter, and fuel pump relays, all were okay. I checked all the fuses, all are okay. I checked for voltage to the wire leads at the pump end. All okay. I replaced the pump and still nothing. Any help would be appreciative. I am out of ideas on this one.

I bet you drained the battery.

Have you tried to jump the car?

For anyone that's interested the ground wire for the stock amplifier was the problem. I regrounded it, even though it's not in the car anymore, and it fired right up.
