Car shifted to neutral while in drive at full stop
Not sure if this is a transmission issue or not but I need to be sure soon because my warranty runs out on the 29th of this month. I was driving today, probably put about 50-60 miles on the car today (50 highway, 10 side street). I am almost home and come to a stop light. Car lurches forward just a bit when I applied the brakes and thought nothing of it. Light turns green and I step on the gas and the engine just revs, no forward motion like it was in neutral. I look down to make sure the shifter was in D and it was, I then verify it on the dash as well. I put the car to reverse and then shift to D and I'm able to drive. Any ideas?

Only recent change to the car was that I attempted to remove the headlight assemblies to replace the HID bulbs but could not because of the assemblies blocking the last 2 bolts on the headlight assemblies. I also installed a new HFLink device last week.

Check your transmission mounts.
If it's a one time occurrence I wouldn't worry too much if your car drives fine....but definitely check tranny mounts and do a fluid drain and fill to be sure.

I had the fluid done back in Nov. (10K miles ago). I'll have to take it somewhere to have them check the mounts. It did only happen one time but I am worried it will happen again. Also, I had the transmission cooler lines replaced in April as they were leaking.
