Car just shut off
Car just shut off
Hello AZiners.. the other day i was cruising to pick up a friend in Ontario California.. theres really smooth roads out in that area so i wasnt really paying attention just cruising along.. I was going aroud 35 when all of a sudden i saw a dip.. I tried to stop as much as i can without screeching and i went into the dip kinda hard.. hit the bottom of my scrap gaurd and all of a sudden my whole car just shut down. I dunno what happened and was very surprised as this is a 05 TL. I just pulled over to the side and the radio was still on. I waited a couple minutes and started the car up and just drove off. Does anyone know why this happened. Was it maybe a sensor that got hit and just shut the motor off since the radio was still on. Any help will be appreciated. Im gonna take my car to the dealer when i get a couple days off and let them inspect it.
check the owner book for a accident detection shutoff system- I'm guessing
That would seem likely--- if it thought it needed to shut off the fuel pump for safety-
above a certain G limit or nose angle
but you turn off the key and it resets

yah that would make sense. Mabey it did think it was in a accident becuase i was pointing downward when it slammed and then maybe it shut off the fuel pump as a precaution. Ill check my manual anyway to be sure. Thanks for your input.
