Car engine rumbles and vibrates hard after ignition is turned on
I just purchased a certified 04 TL with 14K.
Whenever I turn the ignition and start the car, the engine vibrates real hard and rumbles.
I can literally feel by feet vibrating.
But when I shift to drive, it goes away.
After i drive, then put it back to Park, the vibration goes away.
It only happens when i turn the ignition on.
Is this normal or should I have the dealer take a look at it?
Also, on the side note, what does a acura certified car cover.
Does it cover the rattles in my car, or my steering wheel control lights not working, wack cracked leather seats?
Just not sure what certified actually covers.
Thanks!

One on the right for me
Did it do this before you bought it? Also, are there any warning lights or other things illuminated on the dash while the engine is vibrating?

with 14k you should be under the original manufacture warranty..bumper to bumper...so anything that is not "normal wear and tears" should be replace....your seats are considered excessive wear..take them in...and rattles too.....i have the same exact vibration /shake when the car first start up too...in the morning...but they think it is normal...for 04...BS if u ask me...it is worse in the cold though...if one dealer give u a hard time..go to another one..works for me

Engine vibes sounds normal as long as they go away when the engine warms up. I think it was covered in other threads and has to do with the ECU keeping the car within its emissions limits while cold. Cars "spew" more when they are cold. I think part of being ULEV is to do a better job not only at temperature but also when first cold started. Basically the car does what it has to while cold to minimize emissions. We feel this as rumble. By cold start I mean when the engine is cold, not the temperature outside.
It may even be in the owners manual but I'm not sure on that.
