Can someone tell me what this part is called?

I have a 2004 TL, the rubber tubing displayed in the photo somehow ripped. Can anyone tell me what it is called so I can get a new one without taking a trip to the dealer?

Speculate on why it ripped.
its a 2004, do you think the plastic just got old?

or is there something else going on?

Someone could've torqued it really hard when they were changing the air filter at some point and it has just been getting worse with time.

Who knows...... It's probably not the end of the world to replace it but for something like $20 shipped from the site or picking one up from someone here, what the hell right?

That's what I thought it was called, but when searching for products I couldn't find any intake tube.

Sucking air through a tear in that tube (which is after the filter) can't be good.

I just discovered a rip in mine and god only knows how long its been there. I just got a oil analysis back and it had a pretty good results so I guess that it's probably not that dirty in the engine bay.
