Can barely hear the stock radio?

Just got my TL a little over a week ago. I thought that the radio didn't work at all, but I left it on noticed that it was working, just very quietly, and would get louder if I left it on for an hour or more. Even so, it doesn't get very loud; I can't even hear any bass (let alone feel it), and the volume is just loud enough to make out the words being spoken at highway speeds. My hearing isn't the best, but I am fairly certain that at level 40 it should be louder than that, right? I'm guessing that the amp is going out? Anyone experience this problem?

Yes, I tried all of the sound sources; CD, DVD, XM, AM, FM (all stations on the dial)...All are the same..

Do you have the Pro Logic II turned on (I think that is how it is labeled)? Not sure, also, if this is in Navi only cars and if your is or not. Anyway, if so, and you aren't using a proper source (e.g. regular radio/CD), your volume level will be significantly reduced.

I don't recall such a feature, but it's worth checking...

Nope, the stereo do not have a Pro Logic II feature...Guess I'll have to try replacing the amp and see what happens...

Just an update for whoever encounters this problem in the future:

It was indeed the factory amp (p/n 39186-SEP-A010) which is located in the passenger side kickpanel. Installed a used unit off of Ebay and it now has full volume.

Can barely hear my CD player?

All was working fine for months. It's a 2007 that I bought in 2014. Then one day I couldn't hear the CD. Radio worked fine, but the CD was barely audible. Ejected the CD and re-inserted it a couple times, then it was working fine. A few days later Bam! Same thing occurs but this time ejecting didn't help. The radio continues to work as does the darn XM radio which I've never subscribed to. Interestingly enough, (maybe a coincidence) but one day the XM started playing like I was subscribed. I listened, what the hell. It was after that that I started having the CD issues. I wonder if it's somehow related? Acura wants to charge me a small fortune just to diagnose the problem. I felt like the guy I spoke with didn't really understand the audio systems at all. Any ideas?
