Burnt out dash lights are driving me mad and I can't find a fix

Hey all,

the dash bulbs are out on my HFL button, one of the mirror buttons, the up/down dash light button, etc. How do I replace them with longer lasting LED's and where can I get a Part number, who sells them and and how hard is it to get at these lights to replace them?

Now please understand I've done my due diligence and searched for the last 2.5 hours or so. I'm really worn out and can't find anything to help.

I did find that it was supposed to be section F-165 in the 3G TL garage though that is nowhere to be found. Was it maybe taken off for some reason??

Anyhow any help would be appreciated. Please a direct link, because I did utilize the search button to no avail.

Dude, are you serious? You searched for "leds" and couldn't find anything? There are numerous EPIC threads on LEDS....

Also, how did you miss an entire section on LIGHTING in the Garage (Service Department)?

Go back and look at Section G....

No, I searched for DASH led's. There are plenty of threads about led's -yes, but none with any information of those of the dash. Did you even read my post??

fog lamps, side markers, HID bulbs, license plate, glove box lights... NONE of which are relevant to me.

I didn't miss an entire section, thank you very much.

Is it possible I missed the correct post within the section? yes, but I went back and can't seem to find it.

Finally I would really appreciate if you could help me find the correct post for the DASH LIGHTS. If it's so easy it should take you a second, especially if you've looked at it before. Alas if you can't be of any assistance please don't put me down without even reading my post..

The lights in the steering wheel switches are mini-bulbs not LEDs. Numerous threads on steering wheel lights and bulbs. They all seem to go out eventually. Ditto most of the dash switches have bulbs not leds.

You have to look up the switch-then find the mini bulbs for illumination. Dealer parts department can help you order the right bulbs (you can buy the bulbs for most switches-do not let them sell you a switch assembly instead)-they are relatively inexpensive-but they vary for each application. Try not to mix them up (as the bulbs for the steering wheel are very low wattage-and the ones for the switches are higher wattage).

As I recall-in one of the threads for the steering wheel bulb replacement-the member provides a list of P/N he bought and where they went.
