Browning discoloration at the bottom of rear view mirrors

I am not sure if its just mine or not. But I have what looks to be water that is being soaked up by my rear view mirrors. A browning discoloration. I have seen some replacement mirrors on Ebay that you stick on eve for heated mirrors. Is this a good decision? Is this a warranty item?? Am I the only one??

Hmm, I dont know about sticking one over the original.

Mine are doing that as well and no its not a warranty item. I had a friend ask the dealer about that one.

I never really looked into this one, but I will now. Ill look at the parts breakdown of the mirror. I moved this thread also.

same here
only on my driver side though - passenger is fine
maybe its from leaving them on all the time. I know I do sometimes like if dew was on it in the morning I forget to turn them off so it'll be on all day
I figured I might try to upgrade to 07-08's in the future but I dont know it the wiring is that simple for the signals - just a thought

If you car is still under the 3 year or 60,000 kms, Acura will cover the replacement..otherwise you need to change the mirrors...it has to do with the defrosting of the mirrors........defect.......yes...but on most TL vehicles...it is noticed after this period......

It seems the only solution is to get it replaced. I have yet to test my dealership if they will replace mine. And yes, you can buy the mirror on acuraoemparts.com -- its not that expensive....roughly $30-$35 shipped

Link for how to replace mirror(s)

This is my passenger side mirror:
