Belt/pulley noise but it isnt...
My car has been making a whirly noise like a wuwuwuw when it is warm, I figured change the serpentine belt and it would fix it. It didnt. I changed the tensioner and idler pulleys, still didnt fix it.
I decided to take the serpentine belt off all together and see if it made the noise and it does.... The sound sounds like a slipping belt, its not super loud and most of the time faint. It has to be internal since with the serpentine belt off nothing is spinning besides the crank pulley.
Would the waterpump/timing belt make this sort of noise?
Thanks for any advice if this happened to anyone before.

The Gates kit is actually pretty good. Last one I installed, if I recall, it came with a factory Honda bagged tensioner, an Aisin water pump, and NSK pulleys. Pretty much all the same stuff it had during date of manufacture. I also think there's a Aisin kit that I've installed in the past. The tensioner wasn't a Honda bagged tensioner, but japanese made. Belt was a Mitsuboshi or Bando belt (both also factory Honda suppliers). I forgot what brand pulleys were in the Aisin kit.
