Been a while. Have a wierd issue.

So my 04 TL has been blowing a fuse in the inside fuse box that it labeled IG meter. Won't it blows it turns off the entire gauge cluster and radio. It blew again today and I replaced the fuse with a new 7.5a fuse and now the check engine light is on. Stopped by advance and had them scan the code and it came back with P0705 and 68-1. After having them scanned I drove home and the check engine light is already back off and the car has no codes. Not sure if I should look into one of these possible causing a voltage issue and blowing the fuse or if it could be the battery. It only seems to blow the fuse while starting the car and it's at random times.

68-1 is a brake switch malfunction and P0705 is a transmission range switch sensor issue.

True but I'm not sold on the idea that those are actually the problem as they clear out within 15 miles of driving. Something else is causing that fuse to keep blowing. Just trying to figure out what all is tied to that IG meter fuse location

Weak batteries sometimes leads to random codes. How old is yours? Get a new one and clean the battery terminals to see if that helps
