I Currently Have a 2007 Acura TL Type S
auto with 117k Miles im Second Owner

After 7 months of leasing my 4th Gear left before it happen Check Engine Light flashed twice then left
but still Don't Have No 4th

It goes very high on RPMs
When driving in auto at 45 Mph it just goes into neutral
Semi auto - no 4th have to shift to 5th

I went to Acura They didn't tell me what my problem was They assumed I have pieces of clutch or flywheel in my Tranny Sensors then Recommended a 5k Tranny.

My question is at second owner 117k I'm sure the pressure switches haven't been changed but would this fix my issue? How common is it for these switches to go bad? How much are the switches how many do I buy?
need help before I get rid of my beauty over a small 80 dollar fix that Acura tried to charge me 5k for

thanks a lot. The car still moves for not having a 4th that's why I feel like its a easy fix maybe Bad switch I figured Acura was gonna tell me negative news to get me in another car then they offer me 8,500 for a car with a bad "tranny " lol
