That sounds about right...I'm getting roughly the same with my '08 TL-S. I don't how some of these guys claim that they're getting 23 MPG and up in city driving. Better than the EPA estimates? Wishful thinking I guess...

I am getting 18 MPG @ 23 MPH. But it's been less than 1000 miles since I installed the CAI. I need to see where is goes over the next 2000 miles or so.
Prior to CAI, I was at 17 MPG @ 21 MPH. That was over ~3700 miles, mainly moderate traffic city commute.

how many miles on the car?
Raise your tire pressure to 35 PSI all around. Also use premium fuel.
When you did you CAI install, did you move the sensor to the AEM pipe or to the factory location. When in the AEM pipe, you loose about 2 MPG

It's bound to be in how you drive. There is so much discrepancy between people's gas mileages is ridiculous. I for one have an 08 TLS 5AT. I "beat" on my pretty regularly and I've never once got less than 20mpg city. Right now my MID is at 24mpg 31mph after about 1000 miles on the MID.
I go WOT at least once or twice a day, and use SS mode daily.
Car has a total of about 5000 miles.

Agree. That's why average speed is good to know as well. Look at yours and mine.
You've never gotten "less than 20mpg". I've never gotten more than 20mpg. Even though we'll both go WOT frome time-to-time and drive "city" miles.
BUT our average speeds are almost 10 mph apart - you're running at fuel effiecient speeds more often than I am and/or I am sitting at idle more often.

My deal is if your getting at about or at least what it says on the window sticker of the car your ok. People getting better gas mileage than you isn't because your car is broke and the car is so new.

Google Maps FTW.

Population growth has been brutal regarding traffic the past 10 years. Roads have not been *close* to keeping up. It's not ATL/Boston/NYC, but it's bad enough.

I drive a Subata.

To OP, I think it's pretty normal if you are only driving in the city.
