Average price of an AT rebuild?

The trsnsmission on my 07 TL is set to go out anyday now. Just curious to see what others have paid for a full rebuild, and how long its held up.

First rebuild was $3400, second was going to be $1900 for an already rebuilt one in exchange for your old one with a 3 yr 90,000 mile warranty. This is San Diego btw. This place that quoted me the second one also has a location in Los Angeles. It’s called California transmission.

I test drove a TL recently that had the tranny rebuilt at a Honda dealership last year. I believe there were some other components rebuilt, like the torque converter, and it totaled $2700.

You'll save a lot of money by getting a 2007 honda accord transmission from a junkyard instead.

You'd only need to put the electonic components from the TL transmission on the used one to make it work.
