Which ATF (Redline?) for DD
Hey guys, I just ordered the 3rd/4th Pressure switches and 2x gaskets from AcuraOEMparts. That doesn't look like a very hard install at all so I'm sure I'll be able to knock that out in about 30 minutes. What I don't know is what ATF to go with. My '04 TL is a daily driver and the shifts are getting pretty hard and it's holding gears way longer than it should. It even downshifts pretty hard every once in a blue moon . Just wondering which ATF to pick up. Thanks!!

any ATF you put in your transmission is better than the Z1 that's currently in there.
I'd suggest you put in the Redline racing (drain 3 quarts Z1, refill 3 of new stuff) and wait and see how the car reacts. If the transmission feels quite a bit better proceed with another flush. If trans acts normally but the shifts still are a bit harsh you may want to mix in some Redline D4 fluid to help soften them a tad.

Go and 3 quarts of Mobil 1 Dex III Synthetic at your local auto parts store. Change it out and see how it acts. If you like it, then go and get some more, or order some AMSOil or Redline and use it. My drain plug had no wear after 20K on Mobil 1. The Redline and AMS are even better fluid, so they should do even better.
I am about 5K in on some Redline Racing - change again in 15K to look at the fliter and plug. So far, the shifts are identical to the Mobil 1 except at WOT.
While you are at it, change your tranny fliter too. It is under the air filter box... easy change.
