Since i've had the car the sunroof decides to make noise and sometimes not close all the way. I took it in to the acura dealer and they told me that "something" was stuck in there and that it needed new tracks pullys etc. . . Said it would be around $1000! First off has anyone had any problems like that? Second shouldn't warranty cover that? I still have factory warranty but the service writer said that it wouldn't be covered bc they think "something" stuck.

I had a problem with it rattling while in the open position but it was fixed under warranty.

Little update. After having my local dealership look at it and they told me something was "stuck" in the moonroof causing it to not always open and close. I had the dealership I work at get in contact with their manager and they wouldn't budge. Wanted me to pay $390 just to diagnose the problem. But they said they are 99.9% sure that there is something "stuck" inside of the track causing the noise and hang up. I then called acura corp. I talked to two guys that felt my issue should be covered. They then put me onto their district service rep/manager. When this guy calls me he was probably the most rude manager i've ever talked to. Said that he worked at a dealership and hes not the tech, and that if they said something stuck then thats my problem. I told him "I can see this convo going nowhere, your not really trying to help", He replies "OK" and then hangs up the phone. It was insane. Well to make a long story short I took it to the next closest acura dealer over an hour away and they said the motor was at fault and that their covering it under warranty. The district service manager at Acura corp was named something like Anthony Delia or something like that. Anyways it was a nightmare, but at least its getting fixed.
