Any ideas...cant get screw in trunk out!

trying to remove liner in trunk. Two screws are stripped and also they just spin inside the trunk i tried using needle nose and spun the plastic and the screw and its not coming out at all.

I also tried pushing the plastic thing back to get a grip on just the screw but when i try to push the plastic back the screw goes back with it and i cant get a grip on just the screw. if i tighten it gets tighter but lose it doesnt move...

should i just break the plastic piece? and i have also tried pulling the plastic and screw out and they dont budge

its just the small screw stripped inside that like plastic thing with the screw hole in the middle. But if i turn whole unit nothing happens and same when i turn just the screw could i maybe be turning the plastic thing to much? would this cause the screw to not come out?

just pry the entire rear garnish assembly off. you may feel like you'll break it, but you won't. just yank straight back away from the car.

in for pics tho...just to make certain were on the same page.

OK ill get pics in like an hour or so. I wont try it but you think just pulling the trunk liner down and out will pull the two screw out? dont those go into the metal of the trunk though?

The screw is just a plastic bit that spreads the backside of the plastic insert so it does not pull out. Use a small flat screwdriver and insert it in between the screw and the plastic insert. then as you are "gently" turning the screw apply some pressure to separate the two, and the screw will begin to reverse out
