Any fix for the dreaded shift lock clicking noise?

I purchased an 08 TL about two weeks ago and after driving it for a few days I started noticing a clicking noise around the shifter when I stop and go. I looked on some forums and found the problem. The problem I have now is that I haven't found a solution. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it other than taking it to dealership for warranty?

I had the same exact issue, I saw what is required to lubricate those parts and said F$@ that! You have to take off a lot of sh!t to get to those parts. The car is still under warranty, so I took it back. The dealership said the warranty didn't cover that, but they lubed it up anyway.( Another dealership quoted me $200 to do the labor and lube it up.)The bad thing is they didn't put enough. I still hear the clicking noise, but it is a lot more quiet than before. The answer to your question is lube it up.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...+noise+shifter This is what I found, when I was looking for a fix. Some guy here said Lithium grease (can be found at an autozone or similar shop, thats where I bought some). When I took it to the dealer i asked them to use it, and they said they use the same thing. However the repair service manual says you should lube it up with silicon grease.
