Alternator problem?
Ok, so here's what happened. I put in a aftermarket alternator after my oem one blew and everything worked perfect for a while. Then I decided to connect my subs back up to the car and just one day my car crapped out. I was sitting in a parking space with the car on idle and I tried putting the car into reverse and the gears were not changing. so I put the car in park and turnoff the keys and my battery goes completely dead. The battery is maybe 6months old and I had Wal-Mart text and charge it for me and everything is good. So now I unplugged all my sub wires and when I hit the gas my battery light keeps flickering around on the dash and I keep getting the message my car is not charging my battery. I took the alternator out and had 2 pep boys check it and they say its fine. Im stuck since I put the alt back in I am at square one and getting the same problems. Please help! Thanks

Have your battery load tested again. Double check your alternator to see how many amps its actually putting out. Also, check your battery connections and wiring in the electrical system.
