Air Vent + Mode Issue + Pressure

Air Vent + Mode Issue + Pressure
Alright so I had my 08 TL base since December, its got 33,000 miles on it. The cabin filter was replaced about a month and a half ago. I have read that the center vents above the nav/radio tend to have less air pressure which seems to be a common issue. All you can really do is replace the cabin filter, make sure the vent mode is only on the top (face) setting, and close the rear vents, which is fine no biggie, I can deal with that.
This morning I encountered a different issue. When I put the vent mode towards the feet and only at the feet, I still had air coming out of the center vents above the radio/nav. I cycled through modes and even went to the windshield defog button, still had air coming out of the center vents.
I just turned off the air completely for about 10 minutes and when I turned it on, the problem was gone
Could that be an early sign of my air conditioning system about to go yonkers?
