Acceleration, 65MPH, Slight Wobble
I have a 2004 5AT.
In mid-December I put new 17x8" (45mm offset) rims with 235x45x17 Blizzaks on the car. They worked out nicely.
All was fine up until two weeks ago when I noticed that when accelerating around 65MPH or so to about 70MPH and when holding the steering wheel a shudder, wobble, what have you happens - only on the steering wheel. No car shake. I thought since the temperatures were warmer, the tires didn't handle as well. However, the car tracked well, no pull to the left or right.
Yesterday I had I swapped out my snow tire/rim combo with new 18x8" (45mm offset) rims with 235x40x18" Dunlop Signature Sport Tires. Again, when accelerating around 65MPH or so to about 70MPH, I noticed when holding the steering wheel that the shudder, wobble, what have you is still there, but a lot less than it was with the snow tires. Still no car shake. The car still tracks well with no pulling to the left or the right.
In both scenarios, below 65 and above 70 (give or take a bit) I feel no issues. I also don't seem to have a problem when braking at any speed.
Why would the shake be less pronounced with different tires?
Any ideas what it could be and how to fix?
Thanks in advance.

It's more of a wobble. All suspension parts look good. My car is anti-dealer.
Actually, I remember experiencing this on my minivan also, but I put cheap rotors on and that caused the wobble feeling as well.
So, maybe my rotors (since the car is 48K miles and almost 5 years old) should be replaced? I was planning on doing it anyway.
