6MT Clutch Pedal Wear
I've had my 6MT since January 2004. It has approx 31k miles on it now.
I noticed the other day that the lower left corner of my clutch pedal has worn away and bare metal is showing.
Has this happened to anyone else? I drive through a decent amount of traffic each morning to work, but otherwise I deliberately go light on the clutch. Would something like this be covered under warranty, or is it regular w&t?
Thanks

not vtech... VTEC!!!
Damn! You're not wearing baseball cleats driving the car are you??
I think one could argue for "excessive wear" and get it replaced under warranty.
I would find out how much those rubber covers cost and decide which way to proceed.

like tt said, could just be the way you let your foot off the clutch...I have about 27K and no issues. I drive through rush hour traffic in downtown Atlanta twice a day and don't have the issue with mine.

Sounds like maybe you have a tendency to rest your left foot on the pedal while in traffic. DON'T DO THIS.. ANYTIME. It can damage your release bearing.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm not resting my foot on the pedal, but rather am sliding it off after I lift off the pedal. I'll just order a new rubber cover from my Acura parts guy.
