3x3 at 72k?

Ok I know this has been discussed to death, but I can't find an answer to my specific question. People say at 60k 3x3 flush should be no problem, but don't do it at 90k. Well my car is at 72k, right in the middle. I would really like to get it done all at once using amsoil universal atf and not over the course of 3 weeks. I just bought the car at 71k and do not know the history. I'm doing that along with the 3rd and 4th switches next weekend. Might also go ahead and change the motor oil for a fresh start so I can just do the 1x3 from now on whenever I change the oil.

Please don't get mad... I promise I tried searching and searching.

Thanks

I see no problem in doing it at all.

That was the answer I was hoping to hear. I really don't want to do this process 3 weeks in a row and would much rather just get it over with in one day. So after each fill, during the 5 min drive through all gears is there anything I should look for that indicates whether or not I should wait for another drain and refill?

j/k...

some may disagree with me here, but if i were you i would space out your intervals a little bit. your car has probably had the same fluid in it for 73k miles. i would introuduce this new fluid slowly, not all at once.

do a 1x3...see how it does for a while. then another 1x3, etc. i did my 3x3 all at once, but i had 40k on the clock.

i'd do each drain/fill when you do an oil change. i know it's tempting to do it all at once, but you don't want to shock your system by adding all of this new stuff (different from Z1) all at one time. check for metal shavings on the your tranny plug each time you do a drain/fill.

Ya u should be fine. I bought my car used and did my 1st 3x3 along with my pressure switches@87k using z1. At 97k I did another 3x3 using redline atf.

I did a full 3X3 from (presumably) Z1 to Redline at about 80k and I've had zero issues.

I do a 1x3 every other oil change on a good tranny. Cheap insurance against a 3K tranny. I have never heard of a tranny going out because the fluid was too new.
