3G TL Donor Car Ideas (J32A3R Specifically)

Okay. Hello everyone.
I really do love my 3G TL. Really did saved me from multiple situations on the road. But the Transmission problems with these early models is something very unavoidable. So I kinda maxed out of resources for fixing up this car without going over what I paid for it. So over the weekend after learning new details about the cars title history, I realise my project car just turned I to a parts car. At first I felt bummed out because I felt I wasted a bunch of money trying to fix my trans. But then I was like wait, what if there's one more thing I can try. Only thing that's left that good from my 3G is the motor. 3.2 is a very, very, very reliable engine. Maybe I can't save my car, what about buy another honda. Something a bit newer and maybe something that's an accord based besides the TL. So I been seeing a bunch of accords needing a new engine. Then I came across a 2012 Accord Crosstour. The 3.5l in it blew up. But it's has the same exact color of my TL. The 5sp trans on the Crosstour was the most up the date version of the 5 speed. So hypothetically, i already have a parts car, any 3g tl transmission would cost as much as the whole tl itself. But the Engine can be saved. So, how would I swap a Crosstour with an J32A3R?

When you compare the engine block patterns shown on the graphics below, (engine block mates to transmission) of your 2004 J32A3 TL to the engine block of the 2012 J35Z2-VCM, do you observe any similarities in shape??

How about the torque converter cases?

I think the engine looks almost similar, I'm not sure about the trans. I see the Crosstour maybe as an option, I see the 06-07 v6 accord as an option. I see maybe the 2008-2012 v6 accord is also a considerable option. Also I might see the newer 2010-2014 Acura TL as an option. But I'm just looking for something newer that'll fit my engine.

Interesting, because I don't see your 04 TL automatic J32A3 engine block coming close to mating up with that 2012 Crosstour torque converter case configuration.

I do know this, the guy on the thread below mated a J35A6, from the 05+ Odyssey (LX/EX only) to his 05 J32A3 TL6.
Teh CL's... $500 6spd TL - AcuraZine - Acura Enthusiast Community
He states his idea was harvested from '...the 7th gen Accord guys dropping it (J35A6) into they're cars easily.'
So for starters, those two specific Honda platform transmissions, for sure, are basically confirmed to mate with your J32A3 engine block.
Good Luck!

I think Your right and i thought about what you said over the weekend. So i had to do some more digging only the 03-07 honda accord the only car almost the equivalent of the 04-08 tl. So I found a 2007 Accord EX V6 for $900 (Possibly an EXL), same issue as the Crosstour, the 3.0 in it went out. And for the earlier accords 03-05, they have transmission problems also, so you can understand why I wanted to get a newer car and step away from cars before their refresh, and luckily I think I found it. But the question is still the same. How can I swap the 3.2 into the 07 Accord?

Also my realization is that the 2007 Accord v6 transmission is rounded vs the g1 version of my 04 3.2l. And I'm not buying another motor when my tl is the donor. There's no available bellhousing adapter kits made for the 03-07 Accord, as far as i can see online. So, can I just change the transmission bellhousing from my old to the new one? Or do I gotta go another router with my car search?

When you compare the information supplied for the two automatic torque converter cases, below, of your 04 TL & the 07 EXV6 what common aspect of each do you notice??
