if your car is automatic, do NOT go over 2000 rpm. never ever. control it with your foot. if you can't you have a lead foot

i get 20+ city 34 highway lol (@ 50mph)

Who drives 50mph on the highway? That's asking for an 18 wheeler to kiss your rear bumper. You'll be getting pass by all the Prius.

I get an average or 24MPG combined, but I have a 6spd and i barely touch the gas peddle while driving. My city driving is in DC which is stop and go nothing above 25mph for at least 14 miles everyday.

My 2012 TL SH-AWD is averaging about 24 mpg. I do mostly highway driving back and forth to work. On highway I get close to 30 mpg, in the city though it is very bad, guessing approximately 15 mpg.

I've got an '04 TL auto, and get 23 mpg combined. And I've got a lead foot.

Anyone else had good luck with a K&N drop in filter to improve mileage a bit?

I'm having this same concern. I have a 08 Type S and the fuel economy kinda sucks. My 07 TL got much better fuel economy. Both cars were ATs. I've adjusted the valves, engine air filter is good, attempted the ECU reset. I have no MIL or pending DTCs. I too am curious about the K&N filter...

Highly doubtful you will see any improvement from the K&N other than the amount of dirt/dust you let into your engine.
