2007 Acura TL base Auto Not shifting into third.
I was driving in the rain and decided to turn off VSA and put the car in sport shift mode and I decided to race my friends g35 coupe and I was rolling into 1st and mashed the gas pedal. I was spinning first and second all the way to redline but my car wouldn't let me shift into third until I put my car into auto and it drove just fine and I put it back into sportshift and it went through all the gears fine. Is this a VSA bug? I seen in the other forums, people said it happens when your wheels spin but I should be fine. I'm very worried right now😟

I turned VSA back on and drove at normal speeds because I was worried something was wrong and the weather was rainy and the street was wet. Thats how I got so much wheel spin in first and second.

Change your 3rd/4th gear pressure switches!!!
2x 28600-RKE-004 (This part# is for the 3rd gear switch. You need a quantity of 2)
1x 28610-RKE-004 (This part# is for the 4th gear switch. You need a quantity of 1)
3x 90471-PW7-A00 (This part# is for the washers for the switches. You need (1) per switch so that's a quantity of 3)
It's a 3rd gear lockout, alternatively if let off the throttle, initiate a shift, it should change into 3rd then continue to WOT.
I had a similar issue and changing those switches solved it. Here's a before/after video (I'm fully bolted btw):
Also if you haven't already, switch to a full synthetic transmission oil which helps with shifts as well, but the 3rd/4th pressure switches are most likely the issue.
