2005 TL fog light reinstallation
I almost feel embarrassed posting this, but its pissing me off beyond belief. I blacked out my headlights last weekend and left the fog bulbs out in order to let the paint dry as much as possible. Now I cant seem to get them back on there. I know I had to take screws off to take them off (which i still have) but I dont remember if there is a track that the bulbs slide into when turned clockwise or if it was only the screws holding them to the headlights. From what I read, I think theres a track that they should slide into, but cant seem to figure it out. Can anyone provide some insight here? Do I just need to turn harder? Or, do I need to reinstall the screws half way first, then tighten them up once the bulb is applied to the housing?

You talkin bout HIDs or Your fogs? Cuz the fog bulbs dont have a screw to hold them in, they fit in and turn clockwise to lock into place. Pull the cover thats above your radiator off, and you will be able to reach in there and put the bubls in. did you pull the entire fog light assembly out?

If this is indeed the case, you are going to have to get it screwed back together, THEN insert the bulb and turn it so it locks in place. Looks you made more work for your self than needed.
Good luck!

Coming from the self proclaimed headlight guru.... there are no screws that need to be touched when removing/reinstalling the integrated fogs. And if you did remove the 2 screws that hold the metal housing that the bulb turns clockwise and locks into, then I could see where you would be having this problem.
