2005 Acura TL steering problem (whinning)

I did multiple research about the whinning sound in my 2005 acura tl. All research said to replace the two gaskets. I did that but the noise is still there on a cold start up. The noise does go away when the car warms up. I been doing research but idk whats next. I dont want t jump in and change the pump and it might not be that. Please help. Thanks. Bumps appreciated.

Bleed the air out of the system by turning lock to lock. Replace fluid with fresh fluid.

Tried that already. Did it back and forth even while raising the rpms. and i tried to get out majority of the fluid and refilled. Same things going on. Can it be another o ring somewhere else or a gasket? Thanks.

It's getting air in the system. It's rather difficult to determine where over the internet.

Air can only enter where external air pressure exceeds internal pressure. This is on the suction side near the inlet or pump body.

I had this problem on MDX and found that a HP hose leak was allowing PS fluid level to get low enough to pull air in at the reservoir.

good luck

OP: there was a power steering hose recall in the US for all '04-'06 TLs-- it called for replacement of the high pressure PS hose and low-pressure PS inlet O-ring.
Call the dealer to check to see if your '05 TL had the recall work done. If not, have the dealership do the recall work before doing anything with the pump.
