2005 Acura TL starting by itself with no key?

so out of the blue i go to start the car this morning and it turns over like the batteries dead. ok no problem. take the key out of the ignition and it tries starting itself. then a couple seconds later it tries starting itself again. put the key back in and it stopped. i dont know if it was from the key but it stopped then. battery has some fluid on it so i assume its a wierd glitch due to battery failure. put my yellowtop in and as soon as i connect the cables it starts itself! shuts off then starts its self again. shuts off and starts itself again! i had my wife put the key in the ignition and it stops after the third time starting. is this a normal sequence the car goes through or do i have something wrong? it shouldnt even be able to start without the key should it?

Definetly not normal.

Possible ignition switch problem?

thats what i was thinking but it seems to have stopped. it only does it when the battery power gets low. im more worried that it started without the key.

Did you buy the car used or new? If used did the previous owner have a remote start installed?

Sounds like a remote start going haywire. Possibly an old remote start that was uninstalled improperly. If so that might be a pain to find or costly in labor hours.
