Hi Acurazine ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I own a 2005 Acura TL 6spd and after VERY HEAVY rain the other night, I drove into a huge water pit on the road.
Since then the car has been acting a bit strange :
If leaving the car off for some time and trying to re-start it,
the engine kinda struggles to start. ( The feeling of a dead battery somewhat ) Like it has low cranking power and it doesnt start. 2nd or 3rd attempt it will start.
2nd issue : when turning on the heat or air on the TL it has always been REALLY LOUD, now it has gotten much more quiet and doesnt seem to have same air pressure out of vents.
I had a local tech scan the car ( nothing ), alternator responds well & the battery has been tested and is like 3 months old.
I was thinking maybe some sort of voltage regulator?
or some sort of sensor that got a bit wet?
P.S. everything else is fine on the car : radio, navi, interior light brightness, exterior lights, car drives perfect once started.......

was the puddle on the driver side or passenger side? If the driver side the engine may have ingested water and damaged itself. Look up Hydro-locking and you'll see what I mean by damaging it.
I would have a tech perform a compression check on the car. As well check the oil for any sort of milky appearance.

Update : started car 2 times on sunday and it fired up perfectly.
Then the next day monday (today) did not start on first try seemed very weak like a dead battery, then it started up kinda weird. Drove it and parked it. Started it 4hrs later fired up perfectly.
Problem is now : on/off.
Checked oil its perfect.
Car drives perfect, idles perfect...... what could this be ?

If the oil definitely looks clear of water, have you considered the possibility of a weak battery? A heavily sulfated battery can load down the entire electrical system, so that the cars running voltage will be lower than usual, and of course it will start much harder.
That would explain your issues, but it has nothing to do with the heavy rain you drove in.
