2004 TL randomly dies
I have a 2004 Acura TL with around 62000 miles.
About a 12 days ago, while accelerating to 35mph, the car died. Just before it died, my subwoofer i installed a few months ago cut out, but the radio stayed on. No other power was lost. I pulled to the side of the road and tried to restart it. But nothing. I had it towed to the dealership, and it started right up with no problem.
I got it back since the dealership couldnt find anything wrong (no codes, couldnt duplicate errors). I was driving again (under 35mph, school zone 20mph) and it died again. (subwoofer disconnected) I pulled over to the side of the road and tried to restart it.
It would "start" and idle roughly and the rpm's varied from 150-300rpm, and then die 15 seconds later. I did this numerous times, with no real start. So I had it towed to the dealership. They unloaded it, and it started, once again, on the first try.
They couldnt find anything, so I now have the car again, with an obvious problem, that nobody can figure out.
What could be causing this random dying of my car?

Damn...Im going to leave it at the dealership until they can find a problem. Its going tomorrow...Im really hoping they can find something, cause the only thing I could think of was like a clogged fuel line.
My reasoning behind that was because it will run after its lifted onto the tow truck. It seems like its being starved of fuel until it dies, and im thinking that when its tilted on the truck, something in the fuel line is dislodged, and it will start again. Then after some time it makes its way back up the line until it kills my engine.
And even when its running, it still idles too low. and the rpm's are low at normal cruise speeds (normally about 2100 rpm, 5th gear, 70 mph, and now around 1900, 5th gear, 70mph)

Caiman, it sounds like a vac leak with rough / low idle. Shouldn't be difficult to find. It's either air or fuel.. run some seafoam or b-12 through the tank to clean out the injectors. When it's in idle, listen for the leak, you could get a hose to run it around the IM with it pressed against an ear to check for a vac leak around the gaskets. Make sure your intake filter is clean as well and if you take it back have them check the throttle body & run it through the gamut.

I excelence!
Have them check the fuel pump regulator. alot of times this will not throw a code or a C/E light if its in the process of going out(which it sounds like it is)Had the same issue in my 95 Grand prix GTP. as far as the sub going out...that one im not sure...maybe if the Regulator is going out its causing a short to that specific item?
