2004 Acura TL coil pack issues

I have had multiple coil pack failures on my 2004 Acura TL. Total of four (4) to date. Car has 125K on it currently. Used scanner to try and isolate the exact cylinder misfire. Symptoms on this one was an audible "miss" coming from the exhaust drivers side. Most recent coil failure was P0304 (cyl. four misfire code). One thing I have tried in the past was to erase all codes and restart the engine to see if I can get just the misfire code for the bad coil. This worked once for me. most recent, I looked at the four codes on the scanner which read P0300 (multiple miss-fire) along with three (3) individual cyl. miss-fires as well. Common sense says that three coils couldn't fail all at once, so I just started to swap out the coils that were indicating as bad. I got lucky and hit it on the first try, P0304 (cyl. 4) front bank. Hope this helps. Gotta love sites like these to help you stay away from the stealers. Some of the horror stories and money spent in posts on here makes you sick.

that would be super bad luck to have multiple coil packs go bad at once.. is it auto or manual? has it been over-revved?

Had the same thing happen to me. The engine 'misses' only showed up at idle with the A/C compressor running. Bought one coil pack and changed it out until I found the bad coil. Thanks for sharing.
