2004 Acura TL A/C Only blowing hot air

I have a 2004 Acura TL with 139k miles, everytime i turn on my a/c it only blows hot air, you can hear the ac working just nothing comes out?

Was thinking to start by changing my cabin air filter.. any other opinions?

Sounds like the compressor is working but it just needs a recharge.

Confirm if the AC compressor clutch works. The clutch will spin with the pulley if the compressor is working.

Changing the filter is not going to help you. Try checking the fuses first. Then check that the system is charged to the correct pressure. If those are both good then you can start thinking about compressor issues.

This ^^

Also good to note that if your compressor isn't working, your pressure will read very high

Hello, I remember seeing a tbs (troubleshooting) guide online somewhere but I forgot where. It walked you through the whole relay and fuse checks for the compressor clutch and compressor, etc. Anyone know where I can find it? I'm new to the forum so my DIY search probably wasn't that throrough. Thanks! '08 TL Base

OP, if it turns out you need a compressor, the OEM (Denso) unit is available from rockauto, around $200. Exact same one the stealership sells without the Honda name on the package.

Thanks DMZ!
I have a $300 deductible on a Limited Warranty from CARMAX, probably gonna take it to the Acura dealer and have them do it...

FYI, when my AC was only blowing lukewarm air, a local non-dealer chain (like a Pep Boys) found a leak and fixed it for $91. The dealer wanted $775. Given your $300 deductible, you might not even need to spend that much unless you only get the dealers estimate.
