So last night I got stuck at wal mart because my acura tl got stuck in park. At the moment I have a small screw driver in the little hole which releases the stick from park into drive. The horn also stopped working at the same time as this and so did the break lights? A few mechanics told me that it was the transmission and I dont think it is. It must be some kind of saftey mechanism. Please Help!!

 

Sounds like you blew a fuse that effects the shift interlock.

 

this belongs in the 2G section. sounds like a fuse, but, it might be the brake switch. there is a switch down by the brake pedal that gets released when you press the brake. If it isnt the fuse, check that out next, even though it should have nothing to do with a horn.
