'08 Type-S cracked foglight glass

anyone know if its easy to replace? It's just the glass that has a nasty crack in it... can i just replace the glass or do i need the whole assembly?

I have not replaced only the glass on the fog lights on my '07 TL, but I tried to do it on my '03 TL and found out that Acura/Honda make the fog light a complete assembly that is not designed to take apart. It will be a lot easier to just replace the full housing. You could either find a pretty cheap one on Ebay or go to your local junk yard and you should be able to find one. Good Luck!

That sucks.

Pretty sure you have to replace the whole assembly. And it's kind of pricey.

Bump. I need help with this also. I have been searching everywhere, but can't find one post/site/anything that says how to, or at least explains the level of difficulty to replace the fog light assembly.

First off to the OP, I bought the assembly on amazon here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...tomotive&psc=1

I thought at first when I read the manual that it said how to replace the whole unit, but it only shows how to replace the bulb. I tried going in today and after removing the two clips, I could not bend the guard enough to be able to take out the assembly (nor do I know if that is the proper way). Anyway, any information would help. Does it require taking the bumper off? I don't have a garage or tools, so any serious work I will have to pay for.

Also to the OP, I saw some people cut a piece of clear Lexan plastic to the size of the glass, and then put it in with sealant. I am not sure how well it works or not, but I already bought the housing assembly so I am trying to find out how to get it in now.

Thanks in advance.

both foglights cracked within the first 6 months of ownership of my 06 TSX. The dealer replaced them free as a one time goodwill. They took off the front bumper to replace them. I put rockblocker on them and no problems.

Yes, but it's DEPO and is a direct fit replacement.

IOW - it's not some hack, fly-by-night outfit. DEPO aslo provided OE replacment headlights and tail lights for the TL (among others, I assume).

bondan007 - pretty sure the easiest way (maybe the only way) is to remove the front bumper. You might look at some of the grill mod threads to see if there are any pics of the fog assembly there.

You can kind of see in this parts drawing the peices that you need to access:

Thanks for the response Bearcat. I wish there was another way but it looks like that is my best/only bet. I'll look into it, and I guess get a quote at doing it at a shop since I'm not too handy :/

At this point maybe going with replacing the lens with some PC would be the way to go for me. I do work at an engineering company with a nice shop in the back where I could get that cut exactly to whatever spec I make it.

Thanks again

Insight for you guys, on my rsx oem's and aftermarkets were notorious for rock chips craking them. If you go to 's website and search they have a thread where it shows you how do disassemble it and remove the lense, make sure that the lense is removable, if not break the glass and go to home deopt, buy some lexan or plexan I believe.......ughhh nevermind just did the work for you guys.

Ok apparently you can't post other sites, go to google, type in club r s x and lexan after that it should be the first link.

After repairing your fogs, you may want to do this to protect them:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-082-08-wdp-tl-s-yellow-fog-light-mod-diy-643146/

They don't have to be yellow, but it sure protects those fogs.
