'08 TL Type S-Need advice on front bumper repair

This is my first post. I recently bought this 08 TL Type S, which I love. I'm trying to bring it up to 100% and I would appreciate some advice regarding the repair of a blemish in the front bumper. The previous owner had a front plate but that's not required here in Indiana. When I removed the bracket I found that the bumper had been damaged. Attached are photos.

One way or another, I definitely want to get it fixed. I think I have three choices.
1. To have the front bumper completely replaced (Cost $750 based on reputable body shop quote)
2. Have the front bumper repaired, not replaced (Cost $550 based on quote from a different body shop. I'm somewhat concerned that it may not be perfect when done.
3. Leave it "as is" and just put a European style vanity license plate on it. (I'm a little afraid that the plate would "stick out" a little on the right side, but maybe not.

I would really appreciate opinions from other who may have had similar issues. Thanks.

After all of this, I find that apparently I can't upload the photos. Can someone please tell me how to do this? Thanks.

Use photobucket or imageshack

In all honesty, if its only blemish and no actual structural damage to the bumper cover. I would just have it repainted and $550 to repaint is high if it only requires to paint it. I suggest to keep looking around.

Repaint for sure, I just had sections of mine repainted due to road rash & it looks great. Make sure its a reputable body shop & has proper equipment, mine was $700 but that included the front bumper (A-spec) and side sections plus some minor body work. A new spoiler plus paint is just too expensive.

since you mention your car is a Type S model make sure they buy OEM parts otherwise you will stuck with a base bumper.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I hope to upload some pictures as so as I learn how.
