08 TL Clicking noise after takeoff.
My 08 TL is making a clicking noise from the transmission side of the engine bay when accelerating from a complete stop. I def know it is not a CV axle noise. It will also sometimes double-click. It runs just fine, shifts and responds well, I was wondering if it was a solenoid of sorts that could be failing causing the noise?

I'm actually experiencing similar issue with my 08 TL, I don't think it's the axle, checked visually for torn boots, I also checked the ball joints by shaking the wheels by grabbing at 12 and 6 for any play. It clicks when I turn hard left and sometimes even going over the bumps, haven't been able to figure out what it is.

Exactly!
Yes!!
I had my passenger side CV joint replaced a few months ago and had the typically clicking noise. CV boots were perfectly intact but CV joint was on it's way out. I also had the ball joints on both sides replaced seeing the CV joint needed replacing. I did not replace the driver's side.

I honestly do not think it is a cv axle, I can lunge the car at low speeds and the noise doesn't occur, and now as of the last few days the click has turned into a double click, and very faint... tick tick, and also does it when coming to a stop sometimes. Driving me crazy. I'm taking it to a good friends shop next week to hopefully get a diagnosis. Thanks folks!

If you have a 5AT, I highly recommend you go with Raxles. I paid $500 for mine, shipped with return shipping for the cores. If you live somewhere salty, don't expect money back for the cores. OEM 5AT axles are $500/side. So they were a no-go for me.
If you have a 6MT, go with the OEM's. They are about $180/side, if I'm not mistaken.
