07 TYPE S steering wheel too tight/heavy

My 07 typeS steering wheel feels very tight. I am coming from a 03 accord which feels much looser. I don't know if this is normal for the typeS. But I am getting a bit uncomfortable with it. Are yall steering wheels too tight as well? Power steering problems??

I test drove a Type S and noticed it too. But there nothing wrong with it. Its just a sportier feel. The normal TL isn't as tight and reponsive. Maybe Acura could have used a speed sensitive power steering.

Kobi, I've noticed in the other thread that you replaced some power steering parts. What was the issue?

That was on an 06. What happen was in the morning it kept making noise and every time i checked and topped off the fluids, i would loose it in about three weeks. The rack was bad and the pump went bad afterwards. The onlything the pump did was whine. But the tl-s from what i understood got a stiffer wheel for the extra performance and to help in conjunction with the ecu for the torque steer

There is nothing wrong with the power steering. We have the TYPE-S (Sport model), so the steering needs to be stiff for better control and handling.

If your steering is loose, you might go off the road when making tight corners. A better way to explain it is that you feel the road better with the stiffer steering.

I agree, more chance of oversteer with steering wheel too loose. Plus if you ever go fast on a straight-a-way, you definitely don't want your steering wheel to be too loose.

Thanks fellas. It's just that when I parallel park, it takes more effort and energy to move the steering wheel back and forth. Maybe I'm just lazy. hehe.
